20th day in USA, a lonely day in a long chilly weekend. So nothing is more warming than getting something out of the idle gray matter & putting into the blog page. First 20 days went like breeze; Busy atmosphere in the Johns Hopkins University campus, Mexican cuisines, amazing new year party etc... In meantime my brain hasn't stopped itself in analyzing the differences between the Indian & American culture. So here are few of the changes..
WHEN TO REALIZE THAT YOU ARE AN AMERICAN > INDIAN
*U count everything in MILLIONS instead of Lakhs.
*U use the FORK more often than the spoon
*POUND/GALLON/FAHRENHEIT replace KG/Liter/Celsius
*YUP/YEP & NOPE replace the traditional YES & NO
*You start saying 'Hi/gd morning/gd evening' to every UNKNOWN person you see on the road.
*Saying THANK YOU to others after getting a nano/micro help is super spontaneous.
*Become over dependent on TISSUE PAPERS.
*Whatever you COOK tastes highly delicious.
*You STOP MULTIPLYING 50 to the MRP while buying something.
*Spending time in KFC/STARBUCKS/PAPA JOHN is no longer a fashion statement, rather it becomes a NECESSITY.
*CREDIT CARDS always outnumber notes in the wallet.
*You no longer post all the events of the day in USA on FACEBOOK.
*Without INTERNET you feel like an amputated Shakira.
* You show irresistible desire for the APPLE products.
*VIRGINITY is no longer considered as a matter of dignity, it is just the lack of OPPORTUNITY !
* You work like a DONKEY in the 1st 5days of the week & behave like a monkey in the rest 2 days !! ;)
